Light. Attitude. Atmosphere.
For Munich-based Gerlinde Kusstatscher, who specializes in sophisticated lighting design, a studio was created that makes her design approach visible: calm, precise, distinctive.

Inspired by the autumn leaves outside the window, a muted color palette of cream, rosé, and rich terracotta dominates, complemented by a deep, rust-red carpet. The tones create an almost poetic underlying mood – soft, yet clear in expression.

Light as a central design element
The centerpiece of the room is a large conference table by Meridiani, lacquered in a custom-defined RAL shade – matte, warm, and with subtle depth. It is framed by simple wooden chairs from Frama, complemented by chrome accents, including pieces from Frama and Gonzalez Haase.

Special attention is given to the floor-length, latex-like curtains that softly diffuse the daylight and lend the room an almost cinematic atmosphere. Here, light is not just a means to an end but the very material of the staging. “Light is my color,” says Kusstatscher – and that is precisely what can be felt in every nuance: a space for clear thoughts, intimate conversations, and new perspectives.
