What does architecture mean to you?

Architecture means, to me, shaping the dialogue between people, space, and nature with sensitivity—always in harmony with individual character. My work begins with thoughtful conception, extends through personal guidance during implementation, and finds its expression in interiors that truly bring spaces to life.
How do you connect function and emotion in design?
Stephanie
The desire to give a space a specific function is usually the starting point of my design. Yet the essential question is: how should this space feel? It is only through emotional elements that an atmosphere capable of touching people emerges. Materials, light, and carefully placed details add depth to the concept—transforming a functional space into a place with character, expression, and emotion.
How does the design process begin with Thatenhorst Interior?

Every project begins with an open and curious conversation, free of fixed expectations. At the heart of it are the individual needs and wishes of our clients. It is not always about the bigger picture: sometimes it is just a single room that does not work, or the desire for a new world of color. Often, a first impulse—a mood board, a color consultation, or a targeted redesign—is enough to open up new perspectives. Whether it is a small change or a comprehensive interior concept, we meet clients exactly where they are. The journey is just as important as the destination, accompanied by experience, empathy, and a fine sensitivity for the extraordinary.
