A curated installation by Stephanie Thatenhorst
As part of Munich Fabric Spring 2026, a special exhibition curated by Stephanie Thatenhorst for cc-tapis and Dedar Milano was presented. The installation brought together selected rugs and textiles from both brands in a shared dialogue, demonstrating how textiles can shape, structure and emotionally enrich spaces.
Textiles as a spatial experience
The exhibition was conceived not as a traditional product presentation, but as a spatial staging of materiality, color, and structure.
The installation brought rugs and textiles from both brands into a shared dialogue. Organic lines, varying pile heights, and refined material qualities met precisely balanced color palettes, woven structures, and distinctive textures.

cc-tapis presented the latest addition to the Ripple collection by Patricia Urquiola for the first time as a runner, crafted in a new wool and silk quality. Varying pile heights and the subtle silk content give the rug a vibrant depth, revealing ever-changing nuances depending on light and perspective.
In dialogue with this, the latest fabric collection by Dedar Milano complemented the installation with its precisely balanced color palettes, refined weaves, and distinctive textures. A space-defining metal installation staged the textiles, with fabric rolls seemingly unfolding downward toward the floor.

Architecture as a stage
The installation took place at Atelier ROSA in Munich, a listed 1960s building that already serves as a characterful backdrop in its own right. The generous ceiling height, raw concrete, and natural light lent the installation a sense of calm and openness, allowing the materiality and textures of the pieces to fully unfold.
Materiality, texture, and color entered into a dynamic dialogue with the architecture of the space, highlighting the distinct character of the curated works.
An evening dedicated to Design and Connection
The exhibition was celebrated with a launch event as part of Munich Fabric Spring. Guests from the international interior and design scene came together to experience the installation and explore textiles from a new perspective.
The evening was accompanied by personalized cocktails by AERIS, curated snacks, and music by DJ Clara Böhm.
A thoroughly successful evening that brought together design, craftsmanship, and connection in a truly special way.
