Setareh – Light in Balance
Setareh is an extraordinary lamp designed by Sicilian architect Francesco Librizzi for FontanaArte. Its name means "star" in Old Farsi—a reference to the floating, luminous sphere framed by a delicate metal structure. The lamp seems to challenge the laws of gravity: a glass sphere, supported by delicate lines, radiates soft light into the room. This creates a fascinating interplay of light, material, and reflection. The result is an object of poetic elegance—sculptural, lightweight, yet expansive. Since 1932, FontanaArte has stood for excellent Italian lighting design. Founded by Gio Ponti and Pietro Chiesa, the brand combines artistic vision with industrial production. Glass, light, and form merge into timeless objects – inspired by tradition, sustained by innovation.
