Architectural refinement, elegant materiality
The Palazzi pendant lamp by Servomuto poetically references the visionary architecture of Aldo Rossi—in particular, his Teatro del Mondo on the Venetian lagoon. The lightweight, pleated Kvadrat PES fabric shade conceals a delicate brass structure and stylishly arranged light sources, creating an atmospheric interplay of light, shadow, and transparency.
Servomuto, a lighting studio based in Milan, brings the time-honored lampshade concept into the present – with tailor-made fabric art and subtle color schemes combined with Italian craftsmanship.
Each piece is unique, handmade and made with great attention to detail.
Palazzi creates a light sculpture using pleated textiles and delicate brass rings: the light flows softly downwards, simultaneously illuminating the space below with a soft, indirect glow.
