Taiwanese craftsmanship in a modern interpretation
The Jin pendant lamp by Taiwan-Lantern brings Taiwanese lantern art into contemporary spaces. Its delicate lampshade is painstakingly handcrafted from bamboo-supported, hand-dyed fabric layers, which are processed by six artisans over a period of approximately five to six weeks. The result: a soft, almost satin sheen thanks to the application of tung oil and subtle color variations – inspired by the traditional elements of Wu Xing.

The lampshade rests on a frame made of Makino bamboo and walnut, complemented by fine metal tubing, a porcelain ceiling rose, and a fabric cable harness. The Jin creates an atmospheric oasis of calm—organically shaped, handcrafted, with a warm, even light effect. The Jin pendant light combines centuries-old lantern tradition with design clarity—an object that not only illuminates spaces but enriches them with tranquility, culture, and gentle poetry.
