Sculptural, playful, and crafted with a keen sense of suggestion, these jugs, with their accentuated spouts, subtly evoke forms from the animal kingdom. The handcrafted surface reflects the loving precision of ceramic craftsmanship, while the idiosyncratic detail of the spout lends the object an almost vibrant presence. Whether displayed individually or in combination, these jugs combine artisanal elegance with poetic expressiveness.
The paper clay, made from clay, cellulose fibers, and water, lends each piece a distinctive lightness and a characteristic paper-like surface. In subtle color nuances and with a deliberately irregular structure, the vases and sculptures appear like tranquil compositions between art and craft. Arranged individually or in groups, they add precise accents to pared-down interiors—poetic, understated, and powerful at once.
