A dialogue between Brazilian casualness and European reduction
The Reversível by Tacchini , designed in 1955 by Martin Eisler , is a milestone of Carioca Modernism. With its clean lines and unique movement concept, it offers two seating positions: either upright or semi-reclining. The seat shell slides elegantly to the side, becoming a backrest, while the original backrest becomes an armrest. This creates a relaxed, almost lounge-like seating experience that expresses the lightness of South American design.
The organic movement seems obvious, but was revolutionary when it was introduced. Complemented by a lightweight metal frame and high-quality upholstery, Reversível symbolizes the soft sensuality of the Brazilian 1950s—a symbiosis of tradition and innovative spirit.
Handmade in Italy , this chair celebrates Tacchini's traditional craftsmanship - from the metal frame to the carefully selected upholstery in fabric or leather, in a wide selection of fine textiles.
