Sculptural. Radical. Timeless.
The Palla Lounger by Claudio Salocchi for Acerbis epitomizes the creative energy of the 1960s—an era that strove for new forms of freedom and expression. First presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 1969, Palla marks a turning point in the history of furniture design: a seating piece that challenges conventions and opens up new avenues of comfort and conviviality.
Starting with the shape of a sphere, Salocchi breaks down the volume into a harmonious interplay of function and aesthetics. The seat and stool interlock to form a dynamic ensemble that is both playful and elegant. The generous upholstery and precise craftsmanship ensure a luxurious seating experience.
Today, over fifty years after its creation, Palla is being reissued as part of the Acerbis Remasters Collection – in original proportions, with optimized comfort and available in either a fixed or rotating version with a return mechanism.
