The Bleu Blanc Gris 1972 rug by cc-tapis, designed by Charlotte Perriand, is an iconic example of the clarity and balance of modern design. Originally conceived in 1972, it reflects Perriand's design philosophy: the pursuit of tranquility, proportion, and harmony between form, color, and space. The finely tuned composition of Antelope, Gris, Bleu, and Acanth shades unfolds a subtle elegance of timeless appeal.
cc-tapis produces the rug in Nepal using traditional Tibetan knotting techniques. This re-edition of the historic design was created in close collaboration with the Perriand Family Estate and preserves the authenticity of the original. Hand-spun Himalayan wool is dyed with natural pigments and knotted with the utmost precision – a synthesis of cultural heritage and modern craftsmanship.
The Bleu Blanc Gris 1972 is a carpet of architectural clarity and quiet presence. Its linear composition structures the space without dominating it, creating an atmosphere of serenity and balance. Ideal for living spaces, galleries, or workspaces where design is understood as an integral part of the architecture.
